No, this is what *some* feckless, drug-addled, hungover, good for nothing, lazy-arse parents mean for these kids. Most parents on low incomes or benefits do a wonderful job of caring for their children.https://twitter.com/angelarayner/status/980719457420050432 …

Here's a thought teachers. Any grey faced, malnourished child must warrant a report to child safeguarding, so a proper assessment of risk can be conducted. Any parent guilty of neglect should be prosecuted. Any parent needing extra support should receive it.
-
Good thinking Mo. I always wonder what they are doing with the child allowance that they collect each week. They clearly aren't spending it on the child.
-
Yeah because £20 goes a long way!
-
I could feed a child on £20
-
Really, 3 well nourished meals a day 7 days a week. Get in the real world
-
I think you need to get in the real world. A child could be fed good nourishing food on that amount of money. Maybe you can't do that, but I could do it.
-
Back in the1950s maybe. But definitely not now. We are a working family, and every week it's an uphill struggle. And hubby trained as a chef

Where do you shop?

If we checked out the parent(s), what’s the betting that they have mobile phones, Sky TV channels and smoke 20 a day. And don’t have enough money to buy the kid food and clothes.

Really cannot believe this chat!!!!

Cannot or don’t want to believe it!?

Next thing you know she'll be complaining about an obesity crisis affecting primarily children of low-income parents caused by a wicked Tory Government filling the faces of wee tots with junk food...

The standard of Labour MPs is truly shocking.

Standing up for hungry children is the usual standard expected of labour MPs.

No one is mentioning rocketing rents, below inflation pay rises if you get a pay tise that it and a cold winter at all. These are all contributing to food poverty. Its not just bad parenting. Other factors are contributing to kids going hungry.
-
For a start ALL kids get a school lunch and secondly no one doesn't have enough money at worst 2 slices of bread and margarine. Total tosh
-
Any teachers wish to comment ? Any one using a food bank wush to comment ? Anyone forced to live in B&B wish to comment ? Any parents of the 900 chikdren being made homeless by landlords evicting then each month wish to comment ? Still tosh is it ?
-
You definitely need a spelling coach
-
If that is the only thing you can find to comment on and not the content ? If so good.
-
I will welcome people to comment and confirm that it isn't bad parenting. It could be because you are sanctioned however if you have been sanctioned is that not your fault anyway?
