Right, time for a cultural revolution. English hotels should serve toast later on during breakfast. Putting it out as soon as you arrive at the table means it’s cold and soggy by the time the food arrives.

While you’re at it, please sort out the butter which is always chilled and impossible to spread without ripping up said toast.
