How many times do these people need to be told: Brexit isn’t/wasn’t/will never be about MONEY. Some of us care about other things like democracy, national sovereignty & community cohesion. (That said, I also believe Brexit will benefit our economy.)https://twitter.com/ninadschick/status/978402110210543620 …

There never was a plan, those who campaigned to leave didn't need to have one, they could basically say whatever they liked and later on squirm out of it There never was any legislation to vote on. No specifics at all. Even the Tories still arguing about what the vote meant

And you people never seem to understand that we governed our country, whilst members of the EU. “Sovereignty” gets trotted out by you lot, not understanding that we couldn’t have had a referendum without it in the first place.

Except we currently are members of a huge free trade area. The govt has admitted that whatever happens our relationship with it will be worse. So we somehow have to compensate with markets much further away. Ever heard of “gravity” in trade?

It's simplistic rubbish to say 'always', but irrespective, we are walking away from it by leaving the single market & all the trade deals we have helped negotiate as a member of the EU. We are ditching decades of progress on our free trade arrangements for no good reason at all.

I think that we can't have any 100% certainties but it's fair to say that we are moving away from hard earned progress. It's harder to swallow when we see other countries taking steps to integrate closer into a global economy no?

But we're losing access to a huge free trade block with no guarantees that we will be able to arrange free trade with other countries in a way that suits us. Seems like a bit of a punt.

There is no "free trade". Trade comes at a price, and brexit makes our negotiating position far weaker.

Brexit equals less trade, not more. Plus saying goodbye to frictionless trade with Europe, border controls that will disrupt trade with our closest trading partners with whom we trade most. The economists have done the maths, & Brexit simply doesn't add up. UK will be poorer.

Free trade with economies that are considerably poorer than those in the world's richest free trading block, the EU. What a win! And it won't be "free." China/India are already asking for Visa rights tantamount to FoM. Yay, more darkies like me! That'll delight the leavers!
