On #Marr sofa, @IsabelOakeshott totally owned @carolecadwalla on her investigation into Leave campaign spending. As Isabel said, we’re *all* looking forward to that investigation into the Remain campaign spending...

So you can’t answer my question? you’d make a terrible interviewee...
-
Most importantly, the question you have failed to answer, Julia, is why you or Isabel don't investigate the Remain campaign in this way?

I’m not an newspaper reporter with hours every day to work on a long term project. I present a three and a half hour current affairs radio show every morning. It uses up quite a lot of my time, funnily enough.

Don't worry. I'm sure the pro-Brexit press is already on the case. Let's see what they unearth.

Trying to discredit the whistleblowers first I'd imagine. Then probably something about fish.

Did you bother to read Oakshott's Twitter profile before you spouted this? I'll save you the trouble. She claims to be political journalist in her first two words.

What is the point you are trying to make?
-
Soz, didn't notice the tweet before yours. However, the point still stands with respect to the tweet preceding *that*, that if you consider yourselves to be journalists you could investigate Remain expenditure yourselves.

I don't think anyone wants a slanging match Julia, but I'd suggest the difference is that Carole's assertions are backed up with evidence which has been submitted. Whether you believe corruption on one side or both existed, how can the result then be valid?
-
I'd also add that the evidence provided by excellent independent journalists like
@J_amesp correlates with and supports Carole's evidence too.

So investigate Remain, show us there is something to be investigated and this isn't just obvious cheap whataboutery.

Europhobe Stella Fernandez did make a complaint. It was investigated and reported early this year. Nothing found. Sorry but I can't refind the link I saw today
