Ah my husband and I argue this in jest. I like cream 1st he likes jam but we aren't going around in a rage or threatening splitting up over it. Get over yourselves. Who cares what goes on the damn scone first.

What exactly is the problem? Put it together. Turn it over if you like jam first, leave it as it is if you prefer cream.
-
How do you pronounce "scone"?
-
Don't start!!!

I should think so, Sacrilege! As a Cornish girl the cream ALWAYS goes on the top, Devon has been doing it wrong all.these years , equivalent to putting potato under the mince in a cottage pie

Feck. Off. Clotted cream on the bottom always, for the simple reason you can slather far more on before placement of jam. By the way, you're a racist, fascist, bigot with no understanding of scones & pasties originate from Devon.

There is a reason jam goes on before the cream it doesn't get stuck all over your cheeks like it would on top, Devonians are clueless when it comes to cream teas and pasties only the Cornish know how to do both properly

Have dared to cross the bridge on a few occasions to visit the land of Trago. In order to remain incognito, I have been forced to adopt the jam on bottom scenario. This has only resulted in cream on end of hooter & subsequent slippage off scone......plus Ginsters. I say no more!

I rarely cross the bridge, I just can't do it
