You’re quite right, @Femi_Sorry, standing up against the result of a free and democratic vote is definitely something people should be ashamed of. Glad we agree on that.https://twitter.com/femi_sorry/status/971709860793503744 …

It seems to be that
@Femi_Sorry is advocating offering people a choice based on facts not the choice previously offered based on a pack of lies and mis information. -
Yawn, heard it all before. We all knew what we were voting for
-
With all due respect, don’t really think you can speak for all Leave voters can you? The majority of people (prior to the referendum) had no meaningful awareness / knowledge / insight re: implications of
#Brexit on Northern Ireland. Indeed, never even got brought up in debates! -
We have now had the facts thrust at us ad nauseam and I still want to leave the EU.I don't know of any leave voters who don't.
-
You’re entitled to this view. And if your sure of your point then perhaps you should give everyone the privilege of allowing them to make a choice based on fact as you have now done.
-
There's no democratic mandate for a 2nd vote. 7.5% voted for one in June and 23 MPs in December. It's not about "facts" is it? We've lived with the EU and we don't like it. It's about bullying people into Remaining. You ought to be ashamed of yourself

(OK let's stretch the analogy.) That "government" has changed it policies before entering no.10
It said it would fund the NHS. Proven Lie
It said the EU was to blame for uncontrolled immigration. Proven Lie
It said it would make us richer. Proven Lie
And on and on... -
But unlike any government. We can't get rid of this regime once it takes power.
-
You'll know more on this than I Femi, but it appears there's a law which states that a referendum must be held on the EU treaties which she's trying to bypass.
-
Sorry, could you give me some more detail on that.
-
I'll try and find it.
-
Full disclosure. I wasn't aware of that. But I am now. Thank you!! both of you

Nonsense: 1. With a government with a slender majority the opposition will seek to topple it ASAP. 2. The referendum was advisory. 3. There is no mandate or vote for the final Brexit deal because no-one has a clue what that deal will be like.
-
Furthermore the Brexit process has been a grotesque abuse of democracy. 4. 37% is not a sufficient vote for a referendum falsely treated as mandatory. 5. The electorate was rigged to placate the Tory right. 6. An meaningful vote cannot take place in climate of pervasive lies.pic.twitter.com/XN0e1BVjAx

Tortuous argument Julia. We are in a unique position, with the potential for a Govt enacting damage to UK. Voters voted Brexit for different reasons, we should have the opportunity to vote again when the consequences are clearer.

Will be the first government in history openly telling you that you will be less well off.

People can change their minds. Especially when facts emerge that provide evidence that we were mislead (not me) Let's have another Ref. Would that worry you? Remain would win it

I never had a vote like many
@BritishInEurope and all@The3Million EU citizens but I do still have the right to free speech and can campaign for or against whatever I want. Meanwhile Airbus, Euroclear, the EMA, EU doctors, nurses and research scientists will vote with their feet.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
