One fact that wasn’t mentioned was the 18% drop in housing places between 2010 and 2016 . Fact supplied by St. Mungo’s
All the more reason to ask who we think should have one of those precious housing places.
this is disingenuous shite, there are more empty places in homes than homeless people
which homes? As someone who’s tried fruitlessly to find rooms for young people in a hostel, I’d love to know.
See the Red Rose? - Blinded by ideology. Why engage with in debate with those who are trying to deny the truth to themselves.
the implications about a deserving and undeserving poor, the idea that homeless immigrants aren't also a disgraceful failing, the minimisation of the issue of non-rough sleeping homeless
Maybe if migrants didn't travel to the UK, without the concrete offer, of a job, they might not end up homeless. Question: how have homeless migrants got to the UK?
it really does not matter, anyone homeless in a country as rich as this is a moral failing on the part of this country
I assume that homeless migrants bought tickets to get to the UK. Why should the Govt/local authorities help homeless migrants? Homeless UK citizens should be helped, first & foremost.
you're assuming all homeless migrants didn't arrive, have a job and home, and then have their circumstances change. on top of that, this isn't an either/or situation, we have the resources to help ALL the homeless people in this country
