I'd hazard a guess if you removed the EU Nationals staffing the NHS it would implode.

Erm, only 5% of NHS staff are from the EU... so no.
-
So a 5% reduction will improve an already understaffed NHS.
#logic -
What on earth makes you think there will be a 5% reduction?
-
If EU Nationals cannot stay here post Brexit....
-
No one - literally NO ONE - is suggesting that will happen.
-
Indeed. I despair at the illogical reasoning of some remainers.
-
A large chunk (no idea how many) of the ones that were here have left, some are leaving, some are due to leave and others will not be coming. Mostly due to how they have been treated, the level of the pound, insecurity in their status.

Over 3400 businesses have left Catalonia to stay in the EU after its indyref. The UK is going to lose many more. It's a bit difficult to have an NHS without jobs, taxes, nurses, doctors....
-
How many businesses will go, and how many jobs? You must have the facts and figures to make such a claim?
-
It's unknowable. They will keep it quiet because the first to know should be those being made redundant. I don't employ anyone here yet, so I can shout about it. I was amazed that farmers are moving production to Poland and China - I'd never have predicted that.

I CAN say that, in regulated industries (my area), many rely on common jurisdiction, and some have to stop trading the day we leave with no deal. Flights stop, financial products can't be sold because of loss of passporting, etc. The EU is first and foremost a legal construct.
-
We can look at those that chose to leave Catalonia, and their reasons. Many of them will ring true for british businesses. Integrated supply chains that have to be disconnected, for instance. It's already happening. https://www.cips.org/en-gb/news/news/businesses-preparing-to-sever-supply-chain-ties-between-the-uk-and-the-eu-to-avoid-brexit-tariffs/ …

Fundamentally, the UK is predominantly a supplier of services to EU businesses. The money trickles down from EU product businesses to employ our people. With no trade agreement we can't easily supply services - many are protected and not covered by the WTO. The artery is cut.
-
Much of it will be bits of organisations, because as someone pointed out the UK is still a big market. They will leave some functions here, some will transfer, depending where the maximum benefit is.
-
The UK should be good as an off-shore manufacturing base, as it is for Nissan and IBM - the declining exchange rate will create a low-wage workforce naturally.

Brexit. I know!!!! Eureka!!! Let’s make it much harder to trade with our biggest trading partner! What a great idea. But why? Because Mogg and IDS and Farage say we will prosper. Great idea!!
-
If you believe the EU is purely about trade then I'm afraid you're a mug. Why does a trade bloc need a flag, anthem, citizenship and more worryingly, an army?
-
1. A golf club has a flag. As does a county and town and even some schools. 2. Many schools have their own anthems. Don’t feel threatened by a song. 3. It doesn’t have an army. This was used by Brexiters as a false argument.
-
It's planning one. See PESCO and the EDU agreements.
-
Sorry but even if this claptrap were true we have a veto. But it’s not true. It’s fodder fed by the Brexit ring wing. If you fall for it it’s a shame.
-
These brexiteers think they’re rebels when in reality they are just the sheep that vote the way murdoch, Dacre and co tell them to
-
As opposed being told what to do by the Guardian, Mirror, Observer, BBC, ITV, Sky, the EU Commission? You're walking blindly into a federal Europe and war with Russia, and you can't see it!
-
War with Russia? This guy is a comedian. What else is the EU to blame for?
