I have no issue with his opinion. The hateful part is voicing, in todays society, the idea that a man and women would do it better. Im sure plenty of other, single/separated parents would agree. And my use of “love” isn’t to do with gender, I use that or “darling” to most.

There are many brilliant single parents doing a great job but the statistics suggest that, overall, children raised by TWO parents (straight or gay) do better in life. Ps. I didn’t make any comment about you calling me “love”.
-
Well I’m not disagreeing with any of that.
You’re quite right, you didn’t, but others had so I just wanted to clarify that.
-
But in saying two parents are better than one, aren’t you expressing hateful comments about single parents? That’s the absurd logic of your position.
-
I was just starting to enjoy this discussion. Throughout all my comments I’ve stood by the fact that there is no right or wrong, better or worse. I’ve said single parents do it just as well. I’m happy to continue this as long as you don’t attempt to twist my words.
-
Sorry, I thought you’d said that two parents were better than one? Apologies if I misunderstood.
-
No, never. Anyway I’m sure we’ve nicely stirred the pot this morning and clearly we agree on most things! Nice talking to you.

You misunderstand free speech. It simply protects people from being arrested for what they say (with a small caveats such as calling for the killing of someone). People should discuss things rather than shout at each other, however it is also their right to call it hate speech
-
Words have meanings. There is nothing in that article which could reasonably be described as “hate speech”.
-
It isn't hate speech I agree, but it is also free speech for someone to think it is. Tell Tom how he is wrong to think that but don't bring free speech into it as it nothing to do with it as you are both not being arrested and hence free speech is working

He didn't call it hate speech just just gave his opinion on the opinion of another. Free speech does also not exempt one from criticism or responsibility for said opinions. Maybe actually understand what your are talking about before running to the aid of bigoted homophobes
-
He said Littlejohn’s article was “hateful”.
-
Yes, which is his opinion. It is not the same as saying his view was a form of hate speech which is very specific in its definition.

How exactly are you holding CentreParcs responsible for curtailing Littlejohn’s free speech and how is that even their problem? They run holiday parks, stop being such a snowflake Julia,in free market they should be able to advertise wherever they want or not wherever they don’t
-
I didn’t tell CenterParcs what to do. I expressed MY opinion about that they’ve done.
-
Where did I accuse you of telling CentreParcs what to do? I asked, how CentreParcs were responsible for curtailing Littlejohn’s free speech, so is it perhaps possible that them pulling this ad, has absolutely nothing to do with free speech?

Who wants to shut him up? Let him spout his crap and lose the Daily Mail more advertising revenue.

Sadly Julia I fear you are wasting your time. These spoilt left wing brats with fascistic tendencies simply wont listen to anyone outside of their echo chambers.

maybe you fail to understand the difference between free speech and publishing hate and propoganda!
