I caught up with The Sunday @daily_politics catch up before. You were absolutely brilliant.

I'm nostalgic for when governments made decisions based on actual evidence of what was best for the country, rather than the economic illiteracy of bullying xenophobic zealots.
-
oh well done you, managing to use the word zealots at 6:30 in the morning, you do realise it does apply to many remainers as well as leave voters?
-
Very kind of you but I'll pass on the lollipop thanks. The salient word there is 'evidence'.
-
There has never been a time when any government has made decisions based on evidence salient or otherwise, least of all when it wishes to hoodwink people otherwise we would have had the promised referendum on the Lisbon treaty and would have already been out of the EU
-
Ah I see. Let's cut to the quick fire round, is that okay? Can you name me one way Brexit will help me put food on the table for my kids, better than staying in the EU?
-
As your article states tariffs are only part of the picture but we we'll come back to that. The problem with the crash and burn model loved by Lord Lawson, JRM, IDS and that odd bloke from Wetherspoons, is that it contains huge assumptions with low probability & ignores all else.
-
The assumption the WTO and its members would allow us to do whatever we want is huge. The assumption that people will then buy the cheapest product available, even if it's shite, is also pretty big and ignores all we know about brand loyalty and consumer behaviour.

Bet you don't have the balls to push Lawson to provide factual financial evidence from economists or institutions that prove we'll be better off outside.

I’m nostalgic for the days before this brexit lunacy started - when we had our rights and freedoms unthreatened, when I could travel work retire anywhere I chose in 28 countries, with reciprocal health care - brexit madness

Free speech. Ok, so those protesting don’t have a right to exercise theirs also? I listened to Farage churning out anti “far left” garbage and how students today only believe one world view. But then... aren’t some students Conservative?
