Sounds great but I have a funny feeling that the people living in the flat above ours might not be so keen on us doing this.pic.twitter.com/mM7PV6D0Db

That about sums up our immigration policy: ‘plenty more room on top’.

...what a stupid suggestion, how about cutting immigration & giving us our green belt back.

Council planning won't allow me to build a bloody car port in our area, let alone adding two storeys to the house. Planning Regs are for the big boys I reckon.

This is not about solving housing crisis but is designed further to enrich the EU bankers in London who double the size of their homes in SW London make a killing and pay no cgt on the profits. But destroy neighbours' amenity.

If we had prepared properly and not let so many people into the country there would be enough Housing for the present day.Yet the remainers would still want free movement to continue and crowd our schools, hospitals, surgery's even more.Brexit asap.

Likewise. Mind you, considering the amount of noise my upstairs neighbours make, I feel like we are already living together.

The new housing estate across the meadow from me is already blocking our sunset. It will add another hour of twilight if that went ahead...

What, you live in a flat? Move to a house with a garden, there’s nothing like outside space, especially on the couple of days of summer that we get each year!

Forgive me if i am wrong, but would the footings of these houses be strong enough to take an extra storey or two? I wouldn't think so, just think of all the subsidence this would create, utter madness.
