How dare people whose job is to do thorough research into a subject think they know more about that subject than people whose job isn’t to do that!

Official economic predictions are ALWAYS wrong. Even just 3 months ahead. A 15 year prediction is laughable. Entirely dependent on assumptions. What you put in, you get out. Their assumptions are based on their inherent Remain bias.
-
Which assumptions are wrong and how would you know? You haven't seen ANY of them. You're making this up. So very brexit of you.

God forbid the people who are paid to know better than the public should actually know better than the public. You really do tie yourself in knots of absurdity, Julia.
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The Treasury civil servants *do* know better, Julia. It's why they are paid the salaries.
-
Apparently the British people know more about the EU & our economic/geo-political situation than any of our Prime Ministers as well. Because not one single of them wanted us to leave, in spite of the countless quarrels.

I hope you aren’t on my flight tomorrow and you don’t encourage passengers to feel belittled because the pilot ‘thinks’ he knows better than the British passengers paying their salary. Have you even stopped to think what role we to pay them to do
pic.twitter.com/gTXO5hRxZt
-
Maybe tell the truth , which the pilot would do to get you to your destination safely. The role of the civil service to to ensure facts are truthful and open to scrutiny and not manipulated to suit an agenda
-
What makes you think that isn’t the case, given that pretty much every single economist is forecasting the same thing...that Brexit will have a negative impact on our economy? In what circumstance would you believe leaving the biggest Single Market will benefit our economy?
-
Point 1 economists are useless at forecasting anything as are polling companies. Point 2 our reliance on eu trade has been dropping by 1% a year and now down to 40% . Point three the ROW growth and GDP had outstripped the eu which continues to decline , at a fast rate tbcpic.twitter.com/XfnBTw9wW2
-
Also if you look at any metric on the EU they are all going south when compared to ROW , like growthpic.twitter.com/Ddeorjzvn8
-
The wealth of the eu and Western Europe is declining bs ROW, and is continuing to do so . The opportunity is the ability to have free trade , and buy and sell at RWP and not artificial prices created by tariffs to protect the marketpic.twitter.com/IkWpcwoVFS
-
Let me give you an example; PVT solar panels that we should all be fitting are 80% more expensive than they should be since the tarrif is set to give price parity to one German manufacturer, so the uk does not benefit , due to lobbyists. The prices and affordability will improve
-
Do you not think being part of EU helps us benefit from the growth in ROW through our collective bargaining power and the multiple trade deals?pic.twitter.com/vqMzBjx3Cy

It’s just scare tactics. My belief is that this country will thrive and become much richer once out if thus corrupt union. We can then control our own money, borders, fishing and all our industries the EU now control.
-
Ah well, if that's your "belief" that's all right then. I'm completely reassured and wonder why I ever considered remaining in the EU at all.
-
You sound just like all the other EU babies. Afraid to stand on your own two feet, you need to be propped up by a corrupt union. Ruled by people you are not allowed to elect. I fee so sad for the million who gave their lives so snowflake like you can live freely.
-
1. Presumably you never voted in any EU elections? 2. My father fought and risked his life for this country, against the kind of fascism that has been given a new lease of life by the ultra Leavers.
-
I vote NO in the 70s and OUT in 2016. I still believe it was the right decision.
-
No, I was referring to the ELECTIONS, when we voted for the people who are our ELECTED representatives in the EU.
-
Tory.
-
So you did vote in European Parliament elections? So who exactly are these mythical unelected people you refer to?
