@firstdirect I'm with First Direct, part of HSBC, and I've always found them to answer calls quite promptly, discuss problems in a courteous & friendly way, always call back when they say they will, and deal with problems efficiently. They are the best online bank going. Move! -

I'll take your HSBC and raise you with the 90 minute phone call I've just had with HMRC, understand that times are hard and I don't mind chipping in a few quid but not sure that the national debt should be my sole responsibility.

Try complaining, they didn’t resolve mine either but I managed to wangle 150 sheets off them for their lack of competence and inconveniences caused!

Never, ever PHONE any organisation and expect a good experience or any resolution to your issue. I always use Live Chat on a companies web site. You normally get through quickly and I always get a solution to my problem.
