        Well, that’s 41 minutes of my life I’ll never get back and @HSBC_UK still haven’t resolved my problem. It’s almost like they don’t give a toss.

        @firstdirect I'm with First Direct, part of HSBC, and I've always found them to answer calls quite promptly, discuss problems in a courteous & friendly way, always call back when they say they will, and deal with problems efficiently. They are the best online bank going. Move!

        I'll take your HSBC and raise you with the 90 minute phone call I've just had with HMRC, understand that times are hard and I don't mind chipping in a few quid but not sure that the national debt should be my sole responsibility.

        Try complaining, they didn’t resolve mine either but I managed to wangle 150 sheets off them for their lack of competence and inconveniences caused!

        Never, ever PHONE any organisation and expect a good experience or any resolution to your issue. I always use Live Chat on a companies web site. You normally get through quickly and I always get a solution to my problem.
