Couldn’t have foreseen? Yes, silly me believing in the mad idea of a Govt actually delivering on a democratic vote. Oh, the insanity.

The democratic validity of the vote is a contentious but irrelevant point. It's the incontrovertible fact that what you were persuaded to vote for was a scam. Not possible without destroying the country and many real lives in the process. You've been well and truly exploited.

But there wasn't a deadline on the ballot paper? Literally no-one voted for any deadline. The Govt are delivering on the vote. What you mean is not as fast as you'd like. So lobby your MP, vote for a different government. That too is democracy,

When did you vote to leave? Why is your arbitrary date that wasn't on the ballot paper any more important than Steve Barnes of Uckfield's arbitrary date that wasn't on the ballot paper?

It is a constant source of surprise how many people were given a ballot paper, walked into a voting booth and then made up their own questions.

Uh, ignoring the "just leave, they'll come crawling back" nonsense, how long did you think it would take to disassemble and rebuild decades worth of intergovernmental agreements and institutions? 4.5 years still seems fairly rushed to me, but a lot more feasible than 2!

a Government delivering on an entirely non-legally binding advisory referendum with no date specified in the question. It does beg the question...what exactly did you think you were voting for??

What does legally binding mean? The whole legal system relies on legitimate elected representatives voting on laws. EU power is held in unelected Commission and Council. Thats whats wrong. As for referendum. Our parliament approved it. People were told it would be implemented

MPs had a debate and voted that the referendum would be advisory only. This was repeatedly made very clear to anyone paying attention. Any promises made about that result were as legally binding as all manifesto promises, ie. Not at all

That, is a lie. I knew. Almost everyone I know knew. LOADS of people were publically stating this, and some of them were also saying that even though it wasn’t legally binding they would stand by the result. You clearly heard what you wanted to hear.

I do. This is hysterical nonsense. Highly respected Economists including @RuthLeaEcon and @RogerBootle believe we will be better off after #brexit. GDP is not the measure. It’s GDP per capita. At the moment we are growing GDP but diluting GDP per capita

It was an advisory referendum - explicitly so, in the bill that allowed it to take place. Everything that the government has done since to implement the result, attempting at every stage to sideline Parliament, has been anything but democratic.
