He’s not being patronising @faizashaheen. He’s simply stating the legal definition for a racist attack and why he thinks it’s problematic. But then, @ajcdeane is a white middle class man so I guess his opinion on a fact is worth less than yours, right?https://twitter.com/faizashaheen/status/957331726103207937 …

If u can stand the patronising tone, can u work out what he's arguing? The surge in racist attacks post Brexit weren't real, just people's feelings? That racism is subjective? We shouldn't take racist incidents seriously because the racist didn't report it too?🤯 #whitesplaining pic.twitter.com/AGRoIJgitO

Here’s the actual law that @faizashaheen and @ajcdeane were talking about... from the CPS’s own website. I guess they’re #whitesplaining to Faiza too.pic.twitter.com/lq7JmmrtbB

Not at all. I was making point that these statistics are defined by complainant, The responses (like yours) are - but x happened, so how can you question the numbers? (Anecdotal emotional response to statistical point) - you hurt my feelings - you are racist Counterproductive

I'm not sure what you're implying by telling me to read the CPS definition. What matters is the countless first hand accounts of people being told to go back to their country (and much worse) in the wake of the referendum.

It's lame to put this on the same level as someone who has been physically assaulted/fired/harassed/ murdered/honourkilled bc of racism. It's starting to look completely manipulated.
