Shouldn’t the women who agree to work at this event also be utterly ashamed?https://twitter.com/peston/status/955903219762331649 …

You're getting so close to a realisation about the precarious nature of employment in today's world but nothing about your past utterances indicates that the penny will drop.

Perhaps that should have been your tweet and not the Katy Hopkins me me me attention seeking one . Bad attention works when you are failing to get noticed.Desperate times need desperate measures I guess.

Really? They were told upfront they might be groped? They were told they would be given alcohol? It’s a very grey area here, to assert that they all grasped what this work could have led to. There simply is no excusing any of this behaviour. Blaming the victims here, is not on.

Easy to say you'd turn it down, another thing to do it when you need the cash because you have bills to pay and bellies to fill. This is a pretty classless line to take in this sorry affair.

You would have turned down a job with an agency that claims to supply hosts and hostesses for “UKs most prestigious occasions” because you were warned that some men might be “annoying”? Is that what would have put you off and you think should have put off other women?pic.twitter.com/2s5NLkYkPA

Your privileged position has made you see work as a choice and not a necessity and that has warped your opinion of others. Do better.

Some women might not be in a position to financially turn down the job and all the women had heard were anecdotes, maybe the guys this year weren't going to be like last year, maybe there are only a few bad apples.

Maybe they don't have the big house, the big celebrity salary. Maybe they need to take any job they can get to keep their heads above water. maybe they dont have your choices.

1. The article’s clear they weren’t told in advance 2. Even if they were, decisions made out of economic need aren’t made freely - the fact that most of these women needed the money is a factor in the abuse, not a defence to it

Maybe they need to feed themselves? Maybe they need to pay off urgent debts causing them huge anxiety and fear? Maybe choice is a luxury for them? Maybe some of them are young and naive and had no idea how these pigs would behave? In fact I’d say definitely to most of the above.

The job requirements didn't give them a clue? Come on, they might as well just said, "Eye candy wanted for over entitled old men who will behave like dicks. You'll be paid handsomely for doing very little."

Is there no abomination that you are reluctant to defend?
