What absolute nonsense , homeopathy is a well tried and proven alternative remedy with beneficial effects experienced by many people . I believe the Queen herself has used it and certainly there are many who have received great help through good practitioners .

Homeopathy has not been proven. It is based on superstitious and pseudoscientific ideas with no basis in science. Testing homeopathy has not shown evidence for effectiveness.
-
That’s so interesting - I suppose that’s why the Queen uses it !

Thanks to this sort of mumbo-jumbo, Elephants, Rhinos, Lions, Tigers and other big cats are being slaughtered, in some cases to the point of extinction. In any case our future Monarch is expected to be the guardian of the British constitution, not a bloody witch doctor.

In my town, the homeopathy centre is next door to the chemist. One day, the deliveries got mixed up and the homeopathy centre was sent the wrong order... There were tonnes of complaints from people saying they felt better.

I believe that belief itself (in prayer or homeopathy, say) can have healing powers. Inversely, anxiety and despair are killers.
-
Placebo effect can be very powerful, but it’s nothing to do with homeopathy. You might as well give out smarties.
-
But only if the recipient BELIEVES the smarties will cure them. Then the smarties will work, in some cases.
-
If someone believes in homeopathy I reckon they’ll be persuadable on smarties, and they’ll work just as well.

Certain alternative, natural products can be very effective. For example, a simple mixture of barley, hops, yeast and water has always proven remarkably efficacious for me...
-
That’s not homeopathy though.
-
It is in my local, the land lord got done for it.

Ask him, if he has a heart attack, how much does he want his atropine and adrenaline watered down by?

I suggest the Prince of Wales needs to dilute his beliefs. And then dilute them again...

But isn't Sun, fruit and vegetables a form of natural remedy for many everyday problems?
-
Homeopathy is not a ‘natural remedy’.
-
And those things are not homeopathy.
-
I didn't say they were homeopathy. Just suggested pills are not always the answer.
-
Neither you nor
@JuliaHB1 mentioned pills. -
Just alternatives, that's all. Even placebos work sometimes.
-
Alternatives for what?
