I In 1975 I was hoping for brave new world. Looking back at the speeches of the day, I wish I listened (no internet) to all the arguments. As you have stated, arguments that are still relevant today.

Well. I've spent the last 18 months going back through the archives trying to understand the Brexit debate. No doubt in my mind that our political class are completely responsible for were we are today. They can't just blame the EU. They have been weak on so many levels.

Tony Benn was the original Brexiteer.

Wish he was still around to see all this going on

He'd shut up these plastic socialists like Gina Miller and the rest. Benn saw through the emerging dictatorship that is the EU.

Corbyn doesn't run the Labour party - nor do their members - it's Momentum that pulls the strings...

Might not have agreed with Benn's politics but could never fault his passion, integrity and honesty.

I believe that in Tony Benn’s day there were far more politicians (on both sides) who entered politics because of their beliefs, because they wanted to make a change, a difference. Today’s career politicians are in the main concerned with making changes for their own benefit.

Who funded this Labour poll? What questions were put? I don't trust Toynbee. Always twisting the truth.

We know Mr Corbyn is an enthusiastic Remainer. That’s why he was everywhere all the time campaigning.....oh, he was virtually invisible and quiet as a mouse?
