That said, I agree with @Nigel_Farage that Leave would win another EU referendum by a bigger margin. But 52% was a clear win in the face of the entire Establishment backing Remain. That decision is final.https://twitter.com/juliahb1/status/951439020566990849 …

Remoaners are right: we *didn’t* have full information before Britain voted in the 1st EU referendum. It was in 1975. The 2nd EU referendum was in 2016, when we knew what membership meant. We chose to LEAVE. Let’s move on. https://twitter.com/bbcquestiontime/status/779079051600277504 …

How can anyone say that the entire establishment backed remain. Last time I checked, this issue split the Conservative party right down the middle.

Well I watched TV and the bbc was fairly impartial. Even Jacob rees Mogg admitted this.

Have to say I disagree Julia. I think remain would win. They'lll be more motivated because they lost. Leavers will be thinking "Why bother? I won last time and they didn't listen." TBH that's how I feel now.

Added to which: there is considerably more information available now, which was hidden or lied about before, and it is clear that this government is so incompetent, it can't work any way. Remain would, in my opinion, slaughter it this time round.

The government is not incompetent, they DON'T WANT TO LEAVE so are deliberately f*cking it up so it looks like a bad idea.

Sorry, but watch some of the Commons and the Committee debates, listen to their questions and comments, look at the reports which needed generating. This is incompetence, whether they want to leave or not.

I watched a House Committee debate a year ago and it was commented ion then that customs regulations and reports were needed. A year later the members of that committee are complaining that they didn't know reports were needed. Stupidity, incompetence.

Perhaps you should write to them. Clegg said ‘EU army is a dangerous fantasy’. He promised free tuition. He lied on both counts, lost his parliamentary seat and was knighted. What hope is there for the man on the street? Seriously!

I did at the time: https://wp.me/p78uOz-9k  You needn't expect that I received a reply, but would not be surprised to know that these are the same people who complained that they knew nothing a year later, and weren't aware that reports would be needed.

If we are forced to have a second referendum then for me democracy is dead in the UK and we are fast becoming a dictatorship like the EU and my vote on anything will be worthless.
