Toby Young's tweets and quotes are recent, posted as an aware educated adult, not from his juvenile school days. They were unacceptable for someone who was given such an elevated position.

I would say calling for the mob to lynch an MP is far worse than talking about boobs.

More like 80 million deaths. But what’s 40 million people to a socialist?

Depends what the tweets say......commenting on a 15 year olds breasts?........shouldn’t have even been offered the job in the first place and I am concerned for anyone who can defend the man

Maybe if Toby had scored some illegal drugs with two hired rent boys. Labour and their minions would have offered him a better job

It's getting ridiculous, people are now trawling every single comment ever made just to destroy someone's career. A line needs to be drawn & this stupidity stopped, people make mistakes or change views as they grow older or learn from life. We are also loosing freedom of speech.
-
If it we were dealing with one or two comments from his long past teenage years, instead of truckloads made more recently while a supposedly mature adult, you might have a point.
-
I am talking generally rather than about Young. It also seems that there is always someone offended these days, especially over events years ago. I do wonder why they weren't offended at the time? Maybe some are offended because they go looking for something to be offended by!
-
Here's a thought: perhaps many of those folk who are 'offended' didn't know about them at the time and perhaps if they had, they'd have considered them largely irrelevant as he wasn't going for a position associated with our education system.
-
For the record I don't agree with what he said, I am talking about the wider picture than Young
-
In context, that was not clear from your original tweet and what you say is not entirely without merit. Anyway, nice chatting, but I've finally managed to fix my printer so must get back to work.
