The problem today is that we don’t judge other people’s parenting skills enough. It’s either working or it isn’t. The child is the proof.

No idea. Not something I'd do, but I don't have his context. I'm sure he loves his kids more than you or I. And he says he won't do it again. He's learning.

I think stopping them from living and working in 27 other countries is a worse example of dreadfully poor parenting but there you go.

So they did it to teach a lesson then bought more to make up for their children being so bloody spoilt. The right thing to do would have been to tough it out once you made a decision
