I am quite cheered up by that thought! - IF the news really is good! DEVIL in the detail

Absolutely.

Julia: "Haha, that shows those Remoaners who said we'd never get a decent deal!: Also Julia: "I hate this deal".pic.twitter.com/st9iT5R4o7

I think its a good deal how can we complain about regulatory alliance with SM and CU? The only down side is we loose all influence. We just comply.

Regulatory alignment has hidden dangershttps://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/dec/07/leave-campaigners-warn-may-against-regulatory-alignment-with-eu …

Interesting it says Brexiters believe the UK will become "rule takers" under such a deal. Is that an admission we are rule makers as a member of the EU?
-
Within the EU, I have never considered the UK as an influential rule maker. I've always thought that we have gone with the flow or been told what to do!
-
Well you are wrong. 95% of votes went our way 3 % we didn't turn up! Google it.

We're all over the moon Julia. may has completely caved in and agreed a soft brexit. Full EU citizen rights and trade mean freedom of movement and soft borders. It's like they've decided to pinch Keir Strammers not cos David D realised he didn't have any!
-
Indeed. In effect we stay under EU rules, pay up and lose influence. Brexit pushers who understand are apoplectic, those who are just shills for the Tories see a win. At least we know which box JH-B is in.
-
That’s the deal which always was going to happen which should have been explained to people before the referendum. Any trade with EU we have to have freedom of movement etc. Only difference is we have to pay like now but we have no vote or influence

Yep. I don't think any of them will be prepared to understand that pre brexit same deal without massive deal was better than this one, but this one is still essential and far better than no Deal.

Why would remainers be crying? Govt basically saying that we remain in SM and CU so we retain benefits such as FoM etc
-
Because it costs us a fortune which no say in the rules anymore. So why leave?
-
I agree totally, but compared to a hard brexit this is something most remainers could almost live with. We should remain as far EU members though - that's by far the best option!
-
I get that, but €50m+ lost to the economy and the NHS et al robbed to pay for it, I regret some people won’t live with it - literally. :-(
