If the Queen is happy to host the Chinese president and the Saudi king, both nasty totalitarian leaders of non-democratic states, then she'll be just fine with a democratically elected idiot like Trump.https://twitter.com/mrharrycole/status/936224584772259840 …

Hitler was also an elected idiot to Western world for a while, even though he was already persecuting Jews. White Privilege means you don't understand or feel the repercussions of his hate peddling, so he's only a nuisance to you. But to minorities, he's dangerous.

Go patronise someone else. He's dangerous to anyone with half a brain. You don't need to be non-white to know that.

You recognise he's dangerous, yet persist in calling him an idiot? Patronising seems to be a matter of interpretation, as others say you patronise all the time. I just call it expressing an opinion.

The Queen hosted a state visit by Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu back in the 70s. Only one person came out to protest: he was arrested for breach of the peace and fined £60. How times change.

Same happened on the Chinese visit, just one Tiannenmen Square massacre protester who got fined.

I think he proposed to Princess Anne on the 2nd visit to make up for all the bad feeling engendered by the 1st visit. And the massacres. These too.

The problem with Idi Amin is that there's so many utterly ridiculous stories that nobody pays close attention despite them actually being true.
