Disagree. I just spent 8 months on a work free sabbatical. Spent less if anything (cash often spent buying convenience when tired, or saving time).

Naah, most of the leisure amenities popular amongst people these days are either subscription based (no extra charge for more use), free, or cheaper than the alternative (home cooked meal vs the takeaway you got because you worked late at the office).

Why separate work and leisure as a rule? Surely if you enjoy your work, and find it fulfilling, the lines blur...

Agree. Though for the many who find work a burden fewer work hours with the same pay would no doubt add to the quality of their lives.
