Why would grammar schools offer a better education than a comp or secondary modern? Do they? If so why? Kids there on merit? Smarter?

Grammar schools only improve education for the few, streaming within good state schools open to all improves education chances for all kids.

Labour MPs would prefer to dumb down Oxbridge. They can’t cope with selective approach.

Classic leftism. No ideas to improve those at the bottom, so drag the best down. People have a right to pay for education.

Education is all about getting the best teachers. Grammar schools get the best teachers and brightest students. How could they not succeed.
