We have to pay more for food now because we're in the EU which imposes protectionist tariffs on food coming from outside the EU. Facts, eh?

The CaP does little to protect uk producers. And certainly doesn't help uk consumers.

The EU, under WTO rules, is required to offer us Favoured Nation terms on any tariffs. We can abolish tariffs on external imports.

MFN terms are not great & no I don't think we can - that's the point - WTO terms can't be discriminatory

Most WTO members want to see the Single Market destroyed. Therein lies the game you are seeing being played.

Where does this 22% come from? Australia have also stated that a trade deal between us would make food cheaper as 12 month availability!

Clive if food goes up by 22% its a good thing cos obesity will go down as a result. You got any other pro-brexit arguments for us?
