.@JuliaHB1 still doesn't seem to know how trade agreements work - if we leave EU food prices WILL rise by approx 22% - deluded #skypapers

agree for some products - EU protects ALL its producers which is good for many of our producers 1/2
-
The CaP does little to protect uk producers. And certainly doesn't help uk consumers.

if no deal tariffs will be huge-we are a net importer & we will suffer far more than EU - u don't seem to get this point 2/2
-
The EU, under WTO rules, is required to offer us Favoured Nation terms on any tariffs. We can abolish tariffs on external imports.
-
MFN terms are not great & no I don't think we can - that's the point - WTO terms can't be discriminatory
-
Most WTO members want to see the Single Market destroyed. Therein lies the game you are seeing being played.

Where does this 22% come from? Australia have also stated that a trade deal between us would make food cheaper as 12 month availability!

At last. Good news for Africa!

Clive if food goes up by 22% its a good thing cos obesity will go down as a result. You got any other pro-brexit arguments for us?
-
Yes a very good argument for food increase ! Less then spent by NHS on obesity related diseases .... quids in.

-
As an example consider the supply chain in providing cheddar cheese in England ... hint much of it is not English.
