I thought it was just me. What an odd way to describe pupils. Weird!
-
Not weird at all. Normal in schools, and what on earth is wrong with it?! Teachers teach, learners learn!
-
It's weird to me Ruth. Children, students and pupils are the terms familiar to me. I also said it was odd, not wrong. Just my opinion Ruth

-
I'm just informing you that it isn't odd or weird. That's what learners are called these days in state schools. It's commonplace. Standard.
-
Thank you for the information Ruth. It's still odd to me and not standard in the schools my son had attended. Learners
