Talking about TWO year degrees instead of three year degrees on my @TalkRADIO show now. Is that a good idea? Call me on 0344 499 1000 now.pic.twitter.com/xfaRPjzWc4

Due to fees, students think they are paying for a degree and it's up to staff to make sure they pass, rather than expecting to work hard

Er, no. Medical degrees are generally 4-6 years in duration.

No worries Worth considering that 3 yr degrees are really only an introduction to a subject like (for example) History 2 yrs a waste of time

Yes indeed, which is why done jr docs I work with do masters and then MDs, just think if an introduction then 2yrs maybe enough in some

The whole point of Uni is to grow up, learn for the sake of your interest, not to earn more latter. 1st year is all about this...so need 3

Definitely a good idea for a lot of courses. Save time and money. Wouldn't work for all degrees as some do a lot of hours per week.

From what I've seen of many doing 3yr degrees, then I suspect we'll be ruled by generations of village idiots, by reducing them to 2yrs!

Need to get rid of all the so-called degrees that have no use in the real world. Then Concentrate on ensuring quality graduates not quantity
