I am 100 % in agreement with that parent. Shoes sold for girls are about looking pretty not being practical. Parents should stop buying them

Market forces dictate, although presumably at focus tests many mums disagreed? These products don't appear out of thin air

Company deliberately manufactures something nobody wants in order to make political point. Seems legit.

There is a solution to this get 100 girls and 100 boys and 4 pairs of shoes let them choose their favs and even name them, repeat regionally

No,Clarkes use this as market research,it solves the "sexist" argument and the kids pick the styles ,have a dress, play and school range

Perhaps, but if the kids pick the styles and names , it takes the sexist argument out, kids don't see sexism until it's forced upon them

Do what I did for my girls, buy them knee high boots. Can jump in all the puddles they want.

Or at the risk of sounding old fashioned, what's wrong with a good old pair of Welly's for jumping in puddles. My daughter had them.

Nowt wrong with them at all but not exactly on the approved school uniform list. Can get away with a pair of sturdy leather boots.

Why not state issued boots so everyone can look the same, just like Utopian society in 1984
