glass ceiling about class as well as gender. Senior women in media often work antisocial hours, require childcare that isn't an option to all

Many senior women need an au pair, a nanny, or parents in London who can help. If from a wealthy family, &have spare room, that's realistic

For many others, it simply isn't. So they are unable to take up positions that require childcare with that amount of flexibility

Until we unlock childcare issue, we'll have class imbalance among senior women, and many other women will keep hitting that glass ceiling.

This is overall a minority of what women wants and working class women generally want men to make up majority of income (not all.)

I agree a society that requires both parents pursue work must facilitate childcare. Needs to be part of school system from two years olds

But wouldn't a woman who wanted a career which involved that kind of commitment be naturally attracted to a man with similar aims? Then what?

So basically they should look for an unambitious man who is happy for his partner to be far more successful than he is.

Often not financially viable and why should both parents not be able to continue with their careers with adequate childcare in place?

This might help but how many willingly go for this option? And how many of those love their husbands not simply for being 'supportive'?
