Great, now we can all move to Japan! What's that? We've got a free trade deal without free movement of people? Oh.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-40520218 …

Boring answer but this deal, like every other 3rd party FTA the EU has ever signed, will not include services. We are a service economy.

You know there isn't a single market in services within the EU either, right?

I am aware. It is very complicated but the idea Japan now has something that would be good or better for the UK than current is incorrect.

You implied the deal wasn't the sort of deal we'd want because it has no services element. But we don't have services deal within EU now.

So what would we have to lose? EU ref decided that the benefits of free trade were outweighed by the downsides of the EU so no single market

this is not right. It is v complex (ie I don't understand it all), but Japan's services access, like Canada's will be inferior to the 27's.
