Boring answer but this deal, like every other 3rd party FTA the EU has ever signed, will not include services. We are a service economy.

-
You know there isn't a single market in services within the EU either, right?
-
I am aware. It is very complicated but the idea Japan now has something that would be good or better for the UK than current is incorrect.
-
You implied the deal wasn't the sort of deal we'd want because it has no services element. But we don't have services deal within EU now.
-
So what would we have to lose? EU ref decided that the benefits of free trade were outweighed by the downsides of the EU so no single market
-
I think you're massively overestimating the understanding people had of the consequences of their votes.
-
Yes no one knew what they voted for. Only the remain voters knew what they voted for. That's right.
-
Left Wing are always right. Never accept that people have differing opinions. People are getting tired of this self righteous attitude.

a) it's not a single market so not as good b) there are still provisions around movement of people are you doing this on purpose?
-
We don't need a single market to trade freely. And provisions around movement aren't the same as free movement. Next question?
-
Julia - there is so much wrong with that (legally and in practical terms) that it's hard to know where to begin. Happy to try, if you like.
-
But to illustrate, take a small UK co wanting to sell jam to (a) France and (b) to a country with which UK has a free trade agreement (FTA).
-
At the moment, France is easy. Jam goes in a van, and off it goes. No checks, no customs.
-
Let's say we are in 2025 and UK has a 0 tariff FTA with EU. Jam goes in a van. But it needs a custom declaration form.
-
These are needed to show the jam comes from UK and not US (with which UK now has a 0 tariff FTA). They are complex. Cost £.
-
The small co also has to be able to prove the jam meets EU regulatory requirements. More paperwork. More cost.

Name ONE single QUANTIFIABLE benefit of Brexit. Not hairy-fairy emotive B*S, but hard money benefit that can be measured today. Just ONE!
-
To be honest under the current democracy we thankfully live under, no one has to give a reason to justify what they vote for.
-
Too true! Unfortunately, ignorance disguises much, leaving the field wide open to vicious manipulation by those with power and influence.pic.twitter.com/FLXyVonpfA
-
So anyone that uses their Democratic right to vote, but votes differently to your Democratic view is ignorant?
-
in this case maybe yes. Hows that £350 mill going btw?
-
I didn't believe that. And how do you know how I voted? I never actually said. And I won't say. As I accept others views and respect them.
