This obsession with kids on free school meals is bizarre. They're not the only kids from poorer families, you know.

I do know thanks. It's the mostly commonly used proxy. But you get the same story if you use IDACI or IMD.

@profsimonb shows that the (negative) impacts on social mobility go all the way up:http://theconversation.com/grammar-schools-why-academic-selection-only-benefits-the-very-affluent-74189 …3 replies 0 retweets 1 like -
Out of interest, Jonathan, why do all of your CV/blogs/Wikipedia pages fail to mention the school you attended?

Seriously?! Julia, why not just say you can't win an argument about facts/evidence/data?

I can win the argument on the facts. I am just interested in why you don't want people to know where you went to school. Tell me why.

Sigh. Julia, you lost the argument on the facts. Anyone can read the thread. Don't embarrass yourself further.

As it's so irrelevant to the debate, why would you go out of your way to hide your education? Didn't you exist before 1987?

Do you really not realise how absurd you're making yourself look here..?

If it's so absurd, why do you choose to hide your past?

I have no idea what kind of school you attended, BTW. But I have a hunch.

Julia. You lost an argument about facts & evidence because, unlike you, Sam & I know what we're talking about. Why not cut your losses?
