Faith is on the rise. We need to make sure it doesn't divide us. My column. http://bit.ly/2tqJpcM

Hey, you can believe in any god you want. You shouldn't be entitled to taxpayers' money to pay for a state school which promotes that faith.

Parents who use faith schools pay tax. A lot of it. If you want to do this have a voucher system.

Why don't we have separate hospitals and trains for people of different faiths as well?

That is silly. Mind you a lot of hospitals were set up by church groups and again appropriated by the State. 1/2

Parents have a right to educate their children in line with their faith (Universal and ECHR). Paying tax does not suddenly abolish this.

As I said we'll have the wealth of the monasteries, and the current church buildings, and our portion of tax paid, and we'll be on our way.

Ha! The churches were built on the backs of the poor.

You're claiming the churches have given riches to this country. I'm saying they did it with money they took from the poor of this country.
