Why add unnecessary bias to the results by forcing people to vote who have absolutely no clue about policies?

You aren't. Write "None of the above" on your voting slip. But it's still making a commitment to take part in democracy

We have compulsory voting in Australia. It's regarded as a democratic duty.

Personally, I think that nobody who thinks that the expression "Let's" equals a firm promise should be allowed to vote.

I disagree - people fought for the right to *choose* whether or not to vote. Making it compulsory demeans that in my view.
