How about we agree a rule to save all our hot takes, anger, speculation and reflexive "final solutions" for another day? Can we do that?
-
-
In the coming days and weeks we will start to know the facts, and the anger and grief will not be as raw. Why can't we wait until then?
-
No issues are going to be solved today. Nothing helpful will emerge today from blind rage, hatred and fear.
-
Why not just use today to show love and support in whatever ways we each can, and once we have the facts we can have informed discussion?
-
No one who has lost a child today will be comforted by Hopkins calling for a "final solution", or Steve Brookstein's conspiracy theories.
-
So that's why I make my hippy, snowflake plea that, today, we just pause, reflect, grieve and love. And try not to hate each other.
