Really Julia you can't be that obtuse The ones that go to foodbanks ?
-
have you been to a foodbank? Have you asked people why they can't afford food? I have.
-
So you accept they can't afford food! Therefore they can't can't feed their kids, right?
-
No, often a short term benefits issue. Not a long term problem, so no need for all kids to get free breakfasts.
-
I volunteer at a foodbank and also work in welfare rights PIP/ESA/sanction appeals and you clearly dont know what your talking about
-
food banks rarely ask for paperwork to back up claims. CAB & housing offices who give vouchers tell a different story.
-
Maybe we should let them eat cake
-
Let's just means test then to make sure they are all actually malnourished eh? Fucks sake

Here's my unresearched tuppence. You get "food" from a food bank as you do not have enough money to "purchase" food Julia, try going to one.

no, it DOES matter why they don't have enough money for food. Usually more to do with outgoings than income. Do more research

Link to your research on this?
-
where's your research proving my statement false. Some parents don't feed kids breakfast. Why assume it's financial?
-
some choose to spend their money on other things. Some don't care about their kids. Basic benefits enough to feed kids
-
and we know this because millions of people on benefits/min wage somehow manage to feed their kids breakfast every day.
-
this is not a strong argument. Kind of like millions of people are not criminals so why do we need law enforcement
