Blaming parents doesn’t change fact that 1 in 4 kids in UK are living in poverty @CPAGUK facts > http://www.cpag.org.uk/child-poverty-facts-and-figures …

"Relative poverty", which is a mathematical term, not absolute.
-
relative property not absolute? I am so relieved thanks for clearing that up for me :)
-
it's a pretty important distinction
-
Govt targets defined using relative poverty. Many argue there’s no absolute poverty in UK. Doesn’t make hungry children acceptable though.
-
and it also doesn't mean that kids are going hungry because their parents don't have enough money. Many other issues.
-
yeah some parents for example have alcohol and drug dependencies which sadly take priority. Breakfast in school helps that problem.
-
No, breakfast in schools masks that problem. Kids shouldn't be left in homes where parents aren't doing the basic job of parenting.

You should get out a bit more. Showing your complete ignorance with this post.
-
I've spoken to scores of people on benefits/min wage and they can all afford to feed their kids. So why can't all parents do it?
-
How eclectic your social circle is, Julia.

TBH I would expect more compassion from a midwife
-
She does say cares and campaigns for animals not human beings! But, yes she has a point, and circumstances/unemployment do change
-
Yes I do campaign for animals...they don't have a choice unlike humans!
-
And you are a midwife!! Bet you keep your views quiet at work and some of your tweets anti Muslim. Do you shout that
