Or does @Open_Britain think British people aren't clever or hard working enough to be doctors and nurses? Would be helpful to know...https://twitter.com/juliahb1/status/863323657803837440 …

Here's a mad idea: why don't we allow all the Brits who want to be doctors & nurses to train as doctors & nurses and then hire them instead? https://twitter.com/open_britain/status/863319529614659584 …

Your argument is attention grabbing rubbish, you know why we need foreign doctors - cost. People are reluctant to take on that debt.

No they aren't. Brits with the right grades are turned away from doing medicine degrees by the limit on numbers.

And the limit on numbers is because of...cost? Why else would it be? Your inference that open Britain was implying we're stupid was petty.

They prefer 2 save on training costs and steal from abroad.Meantime EU students take up places here then leave without paying.Makes sense 😂😂

Limit on training doctors, to preserve high pay, have resulted in shortages that have to be filled by recruiting abroad. Senseless.

Cheaper for UK to import staff whose training was paid for by poorer countries. Also immoral.
