I understand women's distress at having to wait another 6 years for their pension, but men have always had to wait until 65/66 #equality

15 yrs for Nanny, my ex-mum-in-law, 3yrs for my Darlin' Dad, to his death. You??? I lived on Carer's All. Now, I've NO PENSION either!
-
And statistically, you'll probably live longer than me. Now stop moaning and get a life.
-
By the way, the whole point you're *missing* is that many of us can't have a 'life', due to having had our STATE pensions STOLEN. Capiche?

Shocked at what they were told not when they were told is the problem. Pension delayed 5 years in one hit?

Notice how it's the female equality campaigners who complain the loudest about having an equal pension age as men?
-
Not so. Everyday women who aren't campaigners are furious but not feminist!
-
Why? It's equality

Very simple, Julia. Because many, like my wife, had four years notice that they would not be retiring for another 11 years rather than four.

It's the transition periods that are wrong nobody is arguing about equalisation

Women, rightly, wanted equality, now they're getting it in regard to pensions.
-
Brings out the misogynists, doesn't it. Women are Mothers, Carers, we take part time, low paid jobs to fit around caring for young/old

In that case what about the physical strain on the body of male manual workers, who may not be able to keep working?

Yes we were told a few years back
-
'a few' ??? Well, Cridland recommends 10 years notice for every 1 year rise...thus, SIXTY years notice for us.

@spectator Wanted equality. This is one small part -
£45,000 from them on TOP of them earning SO MUCH LESS than men, equality? Do tell...
-
When I was v young women were not required to pay full stamp when married as husband's contribution covered. Is decision related?
-
I'd say the decision is wholly misogynistic...and that's about it really.
