It appears @JuliaHB1 can't read a graph. ;-) 30% of Eastern Europeans work in "low-skilled" jobs. Rest in middle & high skilled.https://twitter.com/JuliaHB1/status/852096002077143040 …

Yes. ONS *specifically* identifies low-skilled jobs. Most Eastern Europeans don't work in low-skilled jobs, do they?
-
Fine, I was conflating the two & was not clear. But your tweet ignores the key reality of differing work profiles for different EU migrants.
-
Profiles different, true. But key point - often ignored -is for *all* migrant groups, most work in "middle" skill jobs - just like Brits.
-
The issue is whether they are net contributors or not. Different migrant groups have different contribution rates
-
Basically almost everyone in work is a net contributor, even if low paid. See chart 3.7 here: http://cdn.budgetresponsibility.org.uk/FSR_Jan17.pdf
-
Excellent example of how to lose an argument, then sneakily shift it, just to be refuted again. Immigrants contribute, low or high skilled.
-
Ah, but the real issue is . . . .
-
Red, white and blue Brexit, take back control, Sovereignty get behind May we must pull together to make a success of little Britain?

Julia you said "Most Eastern Europeans don't [work in middle or high skilled jobs]" Just admit you read it wrong and clarify what you meant
