So you're in favour of a second Scottish referendum Julia?https://twitter.com/juliahb1/status/848599162564358148 …

So a referendum on having a referendum?
-
Nope. No evidence that Scots want one or that there would be a different result so not needed. Generally, I'd say a min five, ten year wait.
-
Ah right I see.
-
Maybe a majority of MSPs in Holyrood elected on mandates including a 2nd referendum if a material change in constitution is imposed?

People of Scotland, Julia. An important difference.
-
It's people living there who have a vote. Not descendants.
-
Yeah I know. I wasn't writing my dissertation on the topic.
-
My mistake. But how do we know if Scottish voters want a second ref? Let elected Parliament decide? Maybe??
-
If that was the constitutional position, yes. But it isn't, is it? If maj of Scots wanted it & would vote for indep, they'd get 2nd indyref.

If only they had an election recently where THE INDEPENDENCE PARTY won with a specific manifesto commitment to hold one if Brexit happened.
-
and got more MSP's than all the Unionist parties put together.
