That's a fair point, but the genuine lack of appetite to pursue Costa, Amazon and Starbucks for due tax is stunning.

are you self employed - have you ever been? Or like many media types do you wash your earnings through a Ltd company?
-
I used to be, now Ltd company. Still getting hit with extra tax - but it seems fair to me
-
please explain why a media presenter needs to have a Ltd Co - except to pay lower tax?
-
I am not on staff and work for many different organisations. No holiday or sick pay etc
-
you are a high earner. Probably pay less tax bcos of your Ltd co Lady J
-
So what?
-
so Lady J pays tax at a much lower rate on her earnings because she bills through a Ltd co rather than SE or LLP
-
Everybody wants to keep as much of their money as possible. Legally of course.
