Am I alone in thinking we should ALL probably pay more tax (yes, NICS is a tax) to fund better social care, NHS and schools? Just wondering.

Yes but where does it end? NHS has had money thrown at it for years with little to no improvement. And I'm taxed enough as it is.

Not arguing against spending increase to match Europeans - just asking where does it end? NHS is a blackhole for money.

Take 10bn from foreign aid for a start rather than raise taxes. Charge people who use NHS because of drugs, booze, smoking, obesity.

Not true. OECD figures for 2015 show spending as % of GDP at 9.8% which is EU average and above Australia & NZ

NHS could be so much more efficient, employ a handy person to change liggt bulbs, dint sub it out & pay £50 a go.
