that's why teachers are opposed to grammars. It will expose how bad many comps really are. The bright pupils disguise that.

loss of inspirational staff to new schools, loss of money spent on new schools. Further demoralised staff.

as for parents: a school's standards shouldn't be dependent on the parents they get. That is part of the problem!
