The green belt was not ordained by God. Every house currently owned was built on land that was once green. People need somewhere to live.

how far back do you want to go?
-
I don't think green belt should be sacrosanct - but saying all housing is built on land that was once green is simplistic
-
So the same is true of National Parks and AONBs: they weren''t ordained by God either! So let's build everywhere.
-
JHB not saying 'build everywhere' but saying 'not sacrosanct'
-
Not sacrosanct means OK to build on some. Her logic applies to NPs and AONBs too. Bad.
-
Obverse of sacrosanct does not mean 'let's build everywhere' are even your new formulation of 'build on some'. Silly
-
these debates too complex for twitter! my take is that sustainability should be uppermost. Location is important
