You mean Remainers did not know? Brexit voted Out of SM and Customs union.

It seems the government are going to decide on those for themselves. Remainers largely voted for "more of the same", imho.

Winning by cheating is not really winning is it? IF the Ref didn’t have a dark cloud hanging over it I would agree with you. As soon as it became clear there were illegalities, the process should’ve been paused to clear the way forward, not carry on regardless. Questions remain.
