I have a funny feeling that many Germans may feel rather differently though. So much for European "friendship

don't think so. Her popularity is still soaring high...do some research before pontificatinghttps://twitter.com/AlbertoNardelli/status/800027060819423232 …

@AlbertoNardelli I didn't say anything to contradict that, did I? -
I mean, you literally did. Impressive attention spanhttps://twitter.com/JuliaHB1/status/803888155636043776 …

"many Germans" doesn't imply that she is losing popularity. Many Germans didn't vote for her. Do you need a nap?

Genuine question: do you honestly think Syrian refugees are the same as British EU citizens?
-
of course not, that wasn't my point
-
Well it sort of is your point. Syrian migrants are different from citizens who have voluntarily foregone their right to reside.
-
yes, they are different. But that isn't my point. And you know it isn't. And most migrants to Germany economic not refugees.
-
So you say but the distinction between economic migrants & refugees is almost meaningless during a civil war. And you know it is.

We voted out so we could make our own choices and political decisions but don’t like it when other govts make theirs?
-
i'm perfectly happy for Germany to make their own decisions. I'm just pointing out that talk of an EU family is nonsense
-
Rightly or wrongly, we walked out on the family. We gave up rights to be part of it to go it alone.
-
"wrongly"

Why am I not surprised that you can't tell the difference between an economic migrant and a refugee?
-
why am I not surprised that YOU cannot tell the difference. X
-
I can. Syrians fleeing a war zone have right to refuge under UNHCR. Brits in Germany rely on EU freedom of movement.
