perhaps for reasonably wealthy London establishment figures it wasn't but for many working class folk it certainly was.

no, there has been a lot of detailed polling about why people voted Leave and money wasn't in top two

@JuliaHB1@gordoncraig11 Yes let's remember key differences. Leavers fear multiculturalism, feminism, environmentalism...and the internet.pic.twitter.com/n4AAH6yVY3

Agree with you but there comes a pt where the economic challenges undermine all the political and public goods ppl were hoping for
-
yes, but there is no economic challenge. It's an opportunity
-
as the saying goes, “yes, but some opportunities are insurmountable”.

In same way that jumping out of the top floor of a building is chance to admire the view?

The UK will make money from tariffs which it will remove! Utter
#Brexshit! -
that makes literally no sense. Point is as we import more than EU imports from us, EU would pay more in tariffs.
-
You should think one step further: who ultimately pays those tariffs? UK consumers who purchase EU goods.
-
& EU consumers will pay much more, while UK benefits from free global trade (where we do majority)
-
&, can't be emphasised enough, that's *if* EU is childish enough to introduce tariffs nobody wants
-
Minus a UK-EU trade deal the EU has to impose the same tariffs on the UK as on other countries - WTO rules
-
yes indeed. U.K. would trade with EU on same terms as most of world, while free trade with US etc
