Heartbreaking story about 14yr old cancer girl cryogenically frozen after death. Surely those £££ would be better spent on cancer research?

and you are saying the family must then live with the knowledge they betrayed their childs wishes for the rest of their lives
-
don't think any decent parent could live with themselves knowing they double crossed their own dying child
-
respect that, but think the mum, after going through hell, probably finds some sort of closure with this decision

their money, their dying child. Pretty poor to turn that into a sanctimonious op ed because you are short of news.

it sounds very sad, but grief is very powerful and can cause irrational thinking. Difficult 2 b judgmental about how people react

I suppose a smart person would ask "what is the largest animal that has ever been thawed alive from cryogenic freezing?"
-
And the answer is VERY small. Companies offering cryogenic services could be made illegal....
-
dunno, fruit flies seem relatively big considering. Doesn't make cryonics seem good value though.
-
Why am I underwriting a lab operation with 30000 lines being propagated if they recover from cryogenic freezing???
@JuliaHB1 -
(sorry for the double take, it's hard to parse real science on Twitter sometimes)
-
No probs! It would be good if we could, save a lot of rather dull propagation work/money for more interesting things!
